Revitalising Your Home
What does this encompass?
From simply refreshing your home accessories to suit the season or fashion, to re-inventing a whole room. Revitalising, restyling or just decluttering your interiors can achieve such a positive impact on your home life and well-being.
There are many different ways I can help you revitalise your home. I will share my passion for beautiful interiors with you, work closely with you within your budget, fully understand your needs, then offer a fresh, functional and stylish solution. Here are some examples of how I can help you:
Re-purpose What You’ve Got
I can advise on how to give a tired room a new lease of life by re-positioning furniture, swapping accessories from another room, or even how to re-purpose and transform existing furniture. Here is a great example of benches that have been painted and stacked to create a lovely bookcase.
Be creative with your accessories … every now and then I remove all my accessories from shelves and window sills, even removing photos and art from walls. When I see the unadorned rooms and look at all my accessories on a table, I can group them together in ways I hadn’t thought of before. Try it!

Domestic Detox
I can provide de-cluttering and storage solutions (including bespoke furniture storage design), clearing the way for your new look.

Here’s a very practical and functional understairs home office space that I designed and had built for a client.
As part of a project to redesign the downstairs layout of a small three bedroomed town house, my client needed a downstairs study area and I suggested making use of previously disused space. The solution provides both floor level and wall storage as well as a convenient desk space.
Storage solutions can be as simple as re-designing and re-fitting cupboard shelving, creating useful under bed storage, or maximising the use of your loft space.

Colour Consulting
I can collaborate with you to create a colour scheme to make you feel happy in your home. Colour is a simple yet potentially a very powerful element in an interior scheme. It’s also one of the most complex, especially neutrals with all their different undertones. Colour is a mood changer – it can calm or uplift, soothe or invigorate. Colour is affected by the light in the room.
Surfaces such as flooring and tiles can affect the perception of colour. Choosing the right colours can seem daunting (especially when you have numerous colour sample patches painted on your wall!), but I can guide and advise you in finding the right colour to breathe new life into a tired-looking space.

Dark colours on a feature wall work so well in bedrooms. In this example the dark grey highlights an architectural feature. This deep colour could be balanced by painting the rest of the room in a lighter shade of grey.

Warmth can be achieved with the addition of bright accent cushions. Most bright colours marry well with grey … my favourite is yellow for a contemporary twist, bright pink works beautifully as would turquoise, duck egg or lime green.

Room Make-over
I can help you re-style or totally reinvent a room to suit your needs. Working closely with you (always considering your budget), I can recommend the best room layout, new colours, key accessories, soft furnishings and furniture, to create a fresh, functional and stylish living space. The transformation process can seem daunting – there is so much home interiors information available, so many key trends and the unknown factors of the cost and ultimately will it look good? I truly enjoy room makeovers and love working with my clients to make this a fun and exciting process. I will provide as much or as little interior design advice as you need – you may already have gathered lots of ideas and samples but need some focussed help to steer you in the right direction, helping to turn the vision of your living space into a reality.
Here is an example of a mood board that I prepared to discuss with my client, as we updated a tired old bathroom to a fresh and modern look (click on the images to enlarge).
